Maan Mandir

Maan Mandir

Maan Garh or Maan Mandir as termed by the locals is the place where Radha would go seclude herself from everyone else when she was moody or angry with Shri Krishna. It is said that at this spot, Lord Krishna would do everything in his power to mollify Radha and win her confidence back; he would show her the mirror and act as her chaperone/maid, fan her like a servant, even bow his head down in her feet to show her that she was the boss in their relationship. The temple here is built to commemorate this sweet but poignant part of Krishna and Radha's life, their tiffs and make-ups.
